ARSEN BEGLARYAN: "THE SITUATION DIRTAINS FROM FOOTBALL, BUT WE ARE TRYING TO BE PROFESSIONAL AND DO OUR WORK"

20/10/2020

After the victory over Van FC, the goalkeeper of Urartu FC Arsen Beglaryan in a conversation with us shared his impressions of the match and talked about the difficult situation in the country.

ABOUT THE GAME

“It turned out to be a difficult match, but the most important thing is that we won, earned three points and headed the table. I feel fine, I'm glad I got the chance, I'm very grateful for it. We played to zero, which is also very important for the team. The merit of my partners is very great, they allowed a minimum of dangers, in turn creating enough chances, in addition to the two goals that they scored. I think our victory was deserved."

ABOUT THE SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

“Naturally, this did not pass us by. Every day in the locker room we discuss the latest news, who knows what, who read what, and generally talk about the situation. You know, a very difficult situation. It distracts from football enough, but we try to show professionalism in this regard, do our job and help our army as much as we can, not only morally, but also financially. As you know, refugees live in our base, I think this is a very correct gesture. They gave us great support in yesterday's match. It was very nice, it helped us."

ABOUT THE NATIONAL TEAM CAMP

“The training camp went well, of course, until recently we didn’t know that the match with the Georgian national team would not take place at our home, we were only announced a few days in advance that the game would be in Poland. Therefore, apparently, the camp itself did not go according to the scenario according to which it was originally planned, but on the whole we prepared well. Yes, we didn’t manage to win, although I think they could have done it in the game. The most important thing is that nothing has changed in the standings, everything is in our hands, if we win two November matches, we will come out on top and achieve the desired result."
