During the Cyprus camp, “Urartu” FC will hold its last friendly fixture on February 18th. The opponent will be the Russian “Tekstilshchik” Football Club. Below we present You our opponent.

HISTORICAL EXCURSION

The club was founded in 1937. During this time, "Tekstilshchik" FC was renamed 12 times, and since 2008 it has been perform under its current name. In the years of the USSR, the club mainly performed in lower Championships. For "Tekstilshchik" FC, the season 2018/19 was very successful when the team took first place in the "Vostok" zone of the Professional Football League (PFL) and received a ticket to participate in the National League.

PRESENT PERFORMANCES

In the second most powerful league in Russia, "Tekstilshchik" FC is not doing so well. After 25 matches, the team has 17 points and takes the penultimate place in the table, only one point ahead of the closing table of "Fakel" FC.

HEAD COACH

The team is led by 64-year-old specialist Sergey Pavlov, who has been in this position since January 2020. In the past, an experienced specialist worked in such clubs as "Luch", "Saturn", Tula "Arsenal", "Rotor". Pavlov also worked in Kazakhstan for 5 months, heading "Atyrau" FC.

LAST MATCH OF CYPRUS CAMP
