ARAM BAREGHAMYAN: "SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO SACRIFICE TO GET SOMETHING NEW"

08/07/2020

Aram Bareghamyan talked to the editors of armsport.am, summarized the career of a player and talked about coaching plans.

- Aram, how do you feel in the status of a coach?

- Already slowly getting used to this status ...

- Is it easy to work with former teammates?

- Of course it's easy. All professionals and do not create problems.

- When did you realize that you want to become a coach?

- I always thought that after the end of my career I will stay in football and the beginning of my coaching work is aimed at this goal.

- How did you decide to end your career now? Not early?

- I am sure that I could play at least another two years, but sometimes I have to sacrifice something to get something new. In this case, I sacrificed my career as a player to start coaching.

- What is the most important thing in coaching?

- I think that in coaching there are no unimportant things. Both profound professional knowledge and the smallest details are important. There are no unimportant details in sports.

- What can you give to Armenian football now? In your years of player career, did you think that if you were a coach, would you do something in other way?

- It is too early to say what I can give to Armenian football, but I am sure that the time will come soon. Now I have to study, get a coaching education in order to give my experience and knowledge to our young players. As during my playing years, I still have many ideas, and they continue to appear, that is, what and how I would do.

- Mention a few?

- Honestly, I prefer to be patient, learn and realize my ideas in the future, and not talk about them.

- Have you decided what is your biggest goal in a coaching career?

- All in turn. Now it's the turn to learn.

- As a person who has been playing football in Armenia for many years, what problems and gaps in the coaching work have you noticed that need to be fixed?

- It is necessary to eliminate as much as possible the participation of unknown people in Armenian football.

- In a word, how would you describe your career as a football player?

- Interesting.

- Looking back are you satisfied or, you realize that some things have remained unfinished?

- Nothing is perfect in this life. There were circumstances that I would like to arrange differently, but I do not regret anything. I am moving forward.
