24/09/2020

As we already informed, the former Urartu FC goalkeeper Stepan Ghazaryan has joined the club's coaching staff and will work with the academy's young goalkeepers. In a conversation with us, he talked about the beginning of his coaching career and his first working days.

ABOUT STARTING A COACHING CAREER IN URARTU FC

“It so happened that for family reasons I had to end my career ahead of time. For a while, I was outside the country. After returning, I received an offer from my club to train the academy's goalkeepers. I am grateful to the club's management for entrusting me with such a responsible job, it is a great honor and pleasure for me to be here again, so I look forward to every training session. I will try to share my experience with our young goalkeepers ”.

ABOUT TRAINING PROCESS

“At the moment I am trying to get acquainted with some of the elements of coaching, communicating with our Spanish specialist of the main team, other goalkeeper coaches of Urartu academy, gaining experience. I can say that now I am at the stage of study."

ABOUT THE MAIN FEATURES OF GOALKEEPERS

“I really learned a lot from the coaches I worked with. I tried to keep from each of them the best side. In my opinion, the most important thing for a goalkeeper is confidence, and then physical qualities, the development of technique and tactical skills - this everything you can improve through hard work”.

ABOUT HIS SON

“My son Hayk decided to follow me, now he is training in one of the teams of Urartu Academy. He has all the necessary abilities, but he has to work hard, and I, in turn, will give him direction with my knowledge. I think if he will work hard, he will succeed. "
