URARTU FC AT HOME WON OVER ARARAT FC

In the 19th round of VBET Armenian Premier League, Urartu FC beat Ararat FC 1-0 at home, thanks to the only goal scored by Jonel Desire.

On April 7, on the International Day of Motherhood and Beauty, Urartu FC hosted the leader of the championship Ararat Yerevan FC. The teams approached this game after the cup matches. Ararat FC beat West Armenia FC 5-1 and earned a ticket to the next round, while Urartu played drew 2-2 with Noah FC and finished their performances in the Cup.

This game became an anniversary for Arsen Beglaryan, who played his 150th match in the Armenian Premier League. Before the game, the longtime captain and goalkeeper of the team, Stepan Ghazaryan, presented Beglaryan with a symbolic gift.

The first half was an equal fight. There were few dangerous moments at the gate of each other, and the goalkeepers of both teams were mostly inactive. At the very beginning of the second half, the players of Urartu FC scored a goal. After a long break, the best striker of the championship, Jonel Desire, finally scored a goal.

After the goal, the players of Urartu FC looked confident enough and, despite the pressure from Ararat FC, managed to resist and deservedly score three points.

After this match, Urartu FC has 21 points in the asset, and takes 6th place. The team will hold the next match on April 14th. In away, Urartu FC will face Alashkert FC, kick-off at 16:30.
