URARTU FC OFFERS CONDOLENCES TO VAHAN ARZUMANYAN

We are sad to inform that Vahan Arzumanyan, former player of Banants FC (now Urartu FC), died at the age of 53. In 1992, Arzumanyan as part of Banants FC won the Cup of the newly independent Armenia, and as part of Tsement FC became the champion of Armenia. In 2001, in the reorganized Banants FC, he had a great importance, being one of the experienced players of the team, he played 14 matches, and in 2002 he became a bronze medalist with Banants FC. That season, he ended his playing career.

In his honor was organized a farewell match, after which he handed his jersey with number 3 to Ararat Arakelyan. In that match, Banants FC teammates took him out of the field, bearing on their shoulders, to pay tribute.

Urartu Football Club expresses gratitude to Arzumanyan for his great contribution to the club’s history and offers condolences to the football player’s family and friends, wishing them strength in such a difficult period.
