ARMENIA ENDED PERFORMANCE IN THE QUALIFICATION ROUND OF FIFA WORLD CUP 2022
14/11/2021In the last match of FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying round, the Armenian National team at home hosted the sole leader of Group J - the German National team, and lost 1-4. The only goal in the Armenian National team was scored by Henrikh Mkhitaryan from the penalty.
20-year-old Urartu FC forward Narek Grigoryan held his second match in the National team, replacing Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 77th minute of the match. And the goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan was at the bench, he did not have playing time.
At the post-match press conference, Narek Grigoryan spoke about the time spent in the national team, noting:
"I have good emotions and impressions from the training camp, I tried to help the team as much as I could, I will try to improve my game in order to be in better shape at future training camps."
We'd like to add that with this match, our team completed their performances in the qualifying round of FIFA World Cup 2022, finishing in 4th place with 12 points scored in 10 matches.
