We are happy to announce that Urartu FC has a new signing, Zhirayr Margaryan, a graduate of the club, has returned to the team.

24-year-old defender Margaryan started his professional football career in our club, playing in the period from 2014 to 2017. Then the football player played in such football clubs as Shirak and Ararat.

During the winter transfer window of the 2021/22 season, Margaryan moved to the Ukrainian NK Veres Rivne, from where he returned to his native Urartu FC.

After moving to the club, Margaryan shared his first impressions:

“I returned to my native club, which I am very happy about. I already knew most of the guys, they are my friends. I will try to help the team improve their positions in the championship and win the Cup."

We'd like to add that the footballer played his first official match as part of the Armenian national team on November 11, 2021 in the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying round match between the national teams of Armenia and North Macedonia.

Urartu Football Club congratulates Zhirayr Margaryan on his return to his native club and wishes him successful performances in his career. It should be noted that Margaryan will play under number 88 jersey.
