NAREK GRIGORYAN: "MY CALL-UP TO THE NATIONAL TEAM IS MORE THAN OBLIGATORY"
03/11/2021The head coach of the Armenian national team Joaquín Caparrós announced the list of players called-up to take part in FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying round matches with the national teams of North Macedonia and Germany. For the first time in Armenian national team was called-up a young forward of Urartu FC Narek Grigoryan, who shared his impressions and emotions with us:
“I am very happy to be called-up to the Armenian national team. Naturally, I am now experiencing only positive emotions. I can say that my first and most important football dream has come true. I will try to meet expectations by any means.
To be honest, I was very happy when I saw my name. I think every player dreams of playing in the national team of his country, defending the colors of his flag, representing his people on the international arena. I feel a lot of responsibility, and I look forward to the start of the training camp.
This call-up is more than obligatory, it is at such moments that you realize that all the work that you have been doing for several years was not in vain. I can say with confidence that this is not only my success, but also all my teammates and the Urartu FC in general.
