Peter Zilu Mutumosi was born on May 25, 1998 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He started playing football at an early age. He played in the U-22 and U-23 national teams of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The player was on trial at the Belgian Standard FC, where he received the nickname "Verratti".

In the summer of 2019, Peter Zilu Mutumosi was transferred from the Congolese Motema Pembe FC to Urartu FC.

Mutumosi played his first official match as part of the Yerevan club on September 13, 2019 in the match of the 6th round of  Armenian Premier League with Ararat-Armenia FC (1-1).
