JAMES SANTOS: “I DEDICATE MY GOAL TO MY FRIEND, WHO HEROICALLY DIED PROTECTING HIS HOMELAND”

In the friendly fixture with Alashkert FC, James Santos scored a goal, and during the celebration of the goal he got sad and raised his hands to the sky, dedicating the goal to Simon Israyelyan. After the game, Santos wrote the following on his Instagram page:

“I dedicate this goal to my friend, who died heroically defending his homeland. Rest in peace, my friend."

It should be reminded that Simon Israyelyan, a longtime employee of Urartu FC, died heroically in the battles for Artsakh.
