The “Urartu-girls” team became the champion in group B of the women's football championship of Armenia. During the ceremony, players and coaches were awarded cups, medals and diplomas. After the event, the head coach of the team Qnarik Grigoryan shared her impressions of the victory.

 

ABOUT CHAMPIONSHIP

“We played for the first time in Group B. We are very glad that we were able to become champions and give Urartu so many positive emotions. I hope that next year we will have a full season and we will become champions in the fight against opponents, we will try to do everything to leave the cup in our club. Unfortunately, due to age-related problems, we cannot participate in Group A of the women's championship, and we will also play in Group B next season.”

 

ON WOMEN'S FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT IN ARMENIA

“Problems are slowly getting smaller, because women's football is developing every day. I hope that parents eventually realize that football is also an ordinary sport, from which there is no stiffness for girls, no other negative things. It is necessary to approach this issue consciously.”
