ALEKSANDR GRIGORYAN: "MATCHES WITH ALASHKERT FC ALWAYS SHOW IN WHICH LEVEL YOU ARE"

05/02/2021

After the friendly with Alashkert (1-0), the head coach of Urartu FC Aleksandr Grigoryan said the following:

“I consider the absence of Simon Israelyan a great loss. It so happened that Simon and I became friends, despite our age difference. When his father told me that Simon often spoke and told him about me, I said that my grandchildren would talk about him for a very long time. The situation is sad, but the thought that my grandchildren will talk about Simon makes me look at all this positively."

“We often play with Alashkert FC for one simple reason: for me personally, Alashkert is the most difficult opponent in the Armenian championship, because this team is very well-played and skillful, there are many high-speed players in it, which makes the game against them very difficult. The matches with Alashkert FC always show what level you are at now. I can say that in terms of dedication, we played two matches at a very high level. In terms of combinations, there were also episodes where we looked decent. In general, we must admit that the matches with Alashkert FC make us play defensively. I don’t see anything wrong with that, because these are the players that we have, and there are the players that they have."

“Iwu is 80 percent ready, but I'm satisfied with him. The only question is that he has knee problems that have prevented him from playing at full strength for three months. He got this injury last year in the match against Noah FC. As for Vadim Paramonov, he leaves a pleasant impression, I am satisfied with the quality of the game he demonstrated, the defender is doing well, but he needs to get in shape. I think he is 60-70 percent ready.”
