By the decree of the President of Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan, Simon Israyelyan was posthumously awarded the medal "For Courage" for his daring and valor in the defense and security of the Motherland during the Second Artsakh War.

A long-term employee of Urartu FC heroically died in the battles for Artsakh. The memory of Simon Israyelyan will forever remain in Urartu Football Club.
