Urartu FC held a friendly fixture with Van FC at home and gained an advantage with a score of 2-1. As part of our team, goals were scored by Artur Miranyan and Nana Antwi scored goals, and the only goal for Van FC was scored by one of the players on trial.

In the second friendly fixture on July 24, our rival was Van FC. From the very first minutes the match presupposed an uncompromising struggle. In the first half, there were many dangerous attacks, especially from the guests, but the teams hadn't open an account in the first half.

On the 58th minute, Artur Miranyan, together with Hakob Hakobyan, played a combination attack, as a result of which Miranyan was able to bring his team forward. However, 3 minutes after the penalty kick was played, the players of Van FC were able to equalize the score. One of the players in the team was able to score. The players of Urartu FC had one or two real chances to score the second goal, in one of the episodes after Livio Milts shot the ball hit the crossbar. In the end, our players managed to turn the outcome of the game in their favor. 10 minutes before the end of the match, Nana Antwi scored the winning goal: 2-1.

With this match, Urartu FC finished a series of preseason friendly fixtures. The 2021/22 season for Urartu FC starts on August 1. In this match we will host the newcomers of the VBET Armenian Premier League, Noravank FC at home.
