ARKADI ANDRIASYAN WOULD HAVE BEEN 74 YEARS OLD TODAY

Arkadi Andriasyan, one of the most prominent representatives of Armenian football, was born on August 11, 1947.

Possessing high-class technique, flexible tactical thinking and excellent observation, this player was one of the best in Armenian football.

In 1969-1978. Andrisyan played for Ararat Yerevan in the USSR Premier League. He held 242 matches and scored 61 goals. In 1972 he became the bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, in 1973 - the champion of the USSR, in 1973 - 1975 - the owner of the USSR Cup.

Took part in 12 matches as part of the USSR national team, scored 1 goal. In 1969-1972 played in the USSR Olympic team, took part in 10 matches, scored 4 goals.

After completing his football career, Andriasyan began an active coaching career. And from 2019 until the last days of his life he worked in Urartu Football Club. He held the position of Deputy General Director for Club Development, was an Advisor to the General Director.

The legendary player passed away on December 22, 2020.

The memory of the famous athlete will forever remain in the memory of Armenian football fans.
