ROBERT ARZUMANYAN: “WE LOST THE FAITH AFTER CONCEDED GOAL”

22/09/2021

Robert Arzumanyan spoke about the match with Ararat-Armenia FC, missed chances and defeat․

ABOUT THE MATCH

“The first half went as we planned, we knew how the opponent was going to put pressure, in accordance with this we planned how we need to get out of the pressure, what zones we should use, how to deliver the ball into the opponent's penalty area. We succeeded in all this, and we defended well. We had episodes that we could finish with goals. You saw the moment of Oleg Poliakov, during which he missed in an incredible way. In general, we had a good first half, the second half began with a goal conceded from the penalty spot, then we conceded second time, after which the team collapsed, which we saw in the previous match with Pyunik FC. This is unacceptable, in such a situation you can't lose faith and give free spaces to an opponent. Ararat-Armenia FC, having fast and high-class players, took advantage of this fact. Nevertheless, we must look ahead."

ABOUT NON-REALIZATION OF MOMENTS

“To score a goal is the most difficult thing in football. There were matches when we scored a lot of goals, but, naturally, there is a problem, we need to work even better. But to say that we lost in the second half because of unscored goals is wrong, because the game changed after the first goal. This problem was the biggest in this game, I can say that in the second half the opponent surpassed us."
