Former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan spoke at the opening ceremony of the monuments and training fields of the Urartu Football Club.

“It is a great honor for me to be present today at this wonderful event, which, in my opinion, has two meanings. The first is the perpetuation of Armenian football, its development, generational change, the creation of an educational base that tends to develop not only in Armenia, but also at the regional and international levels, as evidenced by the actions that take place in Armenian football.

Arkadi Andriasyan, Hovhannes Zanazanyan are people with whom generations have grown up. They made a great contribution not only to football, but also to general education, which is evidenced by the second meaning today: we honor and open the bust of Simon Israelyan alongside legendary people. The man who made a great contribution to the 44-day Artsakh war, today devoted his life to our peaceful creation.

Today the Armenian people are in a very difficult situation, but the only way out of this situation is the dedication of people to their work, their professionalism and dignity.

I thank the staff of the Urartu Football Club, first of all, Dzhevan Cheloyants, all the people who honor the great path of our football, the heroes who perpetuate the history of the Armenian people and the path traveled."
