Dear football fans, in today’s elections of the President of the Football Federation of Armenia, Armen Melikbekyan was re-elected to the post. This suggests that our football society, or rather people who have the right to choose, either do not fully see everything that is happening in Armenian football, or openly ignore the current situation, so as not to be extreme, which is even worse.

The president of the Urartu Football Club, Dzhevan Cheloyants, has repeatedly called on everyone to think about the future of Armenian football, and on the re-elected president to admit his mistakes and voluntarily resign, but he was not heard.

Over the past month, we have seen numerous polls in which football fans give their preference to Aras Ozbiliz, and sports professionals such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Marcos Pizzelli, Levon Aronian and Karen Khachanov publicly support Ozbiliz. Speaking not only about athletes of Armenian origin, Ozbiliz was also supported by his former teammates Daley Blind and Quincy Promes, which suggests that Aras is remembered, loved and supported abroad as well.

We are grateful to all the caring people who supported Aras Ozbiliz and his ideas over the past month and did not stand aside. We would like to note that Your support was visible and tangible, which means that not all is lost.

We believe that the candidate nominated by our club, Aras Ozbiliz, will not give up what he has undertaken halfway and will make efforts to develop Armenian football in the future, in which our club will help him, if there is such a need.

We will continue to develop Armenian football by working hard and developing young football players in our academy, as well as making every effort to take our professional teams to new levels.

There is a lot of work ahead. It's only begining.
