The U-16 national team of Armenia played against Malta U-16 in the match of the UEFA U-16 Development Tournament 2023 second round at the «Tony Betsina» stadium in Paola, Malta. Full time ended in a draw with a score of 2-2. The winner was determined with penalty shootout. Our team won with a score of 3-1.

The players of «Urartu-2» also participated in this match. Khosrov Ghazaryan played a full match, while Davit Harutyunyan and Gagik Meloyan were substituted. Davit Harutyunyan also scored a goal in the penalty shootout.

The Armenian U-16 team got 2 points and took the second place in the group with 3 points. The leader of the group is Iceland U-16 team.
