LEGENDARY FOOTBALLER FRANZ BECKENBAUER DIED

We are deeply saddened to hear that Franz Beckenbauer, former footballer of Bayern Munich, Hamburger SV and the German national team, the best player in the history of German football, died at the age of 78.

Franz Beckenbauer is one of the three people in the history of football who managed to become a world champion both as footballer and as a head coach. The legendary German also won the Golden Ball award twice.

In 1975, as part of Bayern Munich squad, Franz Beckenbauer competed in Yerevan against FC Ararat, where Arkadi Andreasyan’s goal gave victory to the Armenian team.
