26/03/2023Urartu FC midfielder Ugochukwu Iwu, who recently received Armenian citizenship and was called up to the Armenian national team for the first time, shared his impressions after the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying round match against Turkey:
“The match was very tough, the opponent was strong, but we tried not to concede, in moments we played even better. I am very happy to make my debut for the Armenian national team in such a responsible match, and I hope that my game was worthy.
The atmosphere in the stadium was amazing, the fans supported us for the whole 90 minutes, and it was incredible.
I will continue to work hard to perform at my best every time I get the chance."
